Superblue Miami Relaunch

Born out of mega-gallery PACE, Superblue is the ultimate destination for Experiential Art. Featuring a world-class roster of artists that includes James Turrell, Nick Cave, teamLab and JR, Superblue’s flagship in Miami hosts monumental exhibition spaces for the display of non-object based art, retail and community programming.

Launched at the height of the global pandemic, the 65k square-foot center opened during a year of lockdowns and supply-chain shortages. As the challenges of that moment subsided, Superblue pivoted to its original intent for the facility. All aspects of the visitor journey were reconsidered to enhance the client experience, curatorial intent, retail opportunities, and maximize spatial capacity for programming events and new immersive art works.

The center underwent a transformative renovation to recirculate visitor movement through the exhibits. Porous architectural structures were introduced to gently guide viewers along the new master pathway, while still allowing free roam. A redesigned lobby, illuminated by soothing blue light, serves as a serene transition from the bustling Miami streets to the contemplative art showcased inside. Custom furniture, a film screening room and a private sales gallery were added to expand the interior’s programming, while new landscaping, master signage and an outdoor café designed by Yinka Illori activate the exterior.
