The Supreme Skateboard Archive

From humble beginnings as a skateboard shop in downtown Manhattan, Supreme has become a global phenomenon that rivals luxury fashion houses in both price and collectability. Supreme’s notorious short-runs or “drops” continually spike demand creating a feverish secondary market for its coveted streetwear and accessories.

To inaugurate its online sales series of costume and collectibles, Sotheby’s partnered with StockX to offer the complete archive of Supreme skateboards. The only collection of its kind, the archive featured 248 boards that included designs by Louis Vuitton, George Condo, Jeff Koons and KAWS.

White wall viewings here held in Sotheby’s Upper East side galleries in advance of a downtown view that returned the boards to their natural habitat - the grunge and grit of the Lower East Side.
