The Rock & Roll Anthology

The Rock & Roll Anthology exhibition was a kaleidoscopic survey of the history of rock & roll, pop, folk, and punk. The show featured important manuscripts and memorabilia from the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Eagles, and a rare offering from the Sex Pistols’ seminal album Never Mind the Bollocks, among others. A highlight of the sale was John Lennon’s Broadwood Upright Piano upon which he composed “A Day in the Life,”Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” and many other iconic songs.

The exhibition viewing was punctuated with various programmatic elements including a panel discussion with Boo-Hooray’s founder Johan Kugelberg leading a conversation about collecting, ephemera and culture with director Johan Renck, artist and filmmaker Fab Five Freddy, producer Fabiola Beracasa and co-owner of record label Mexican Summer Andrés Santo Domingo.

All-female tribute band Lez Zeppelin gave an unforgettable performance of their namesake's all-time classics. While rocking out to the vinyl stylings of DJ Hesta Prynn, guests explored the exhibition, admired models from Textron Private Aviation, enjoyed a special tasting of Jose Cuervo's commemorative edition tequila bottling 250 Anniversario Rolling Stones Edition and had the chance to grab a free Tidal membership
