Maurizio Cattellan
Known for his hyperrealistic sculptural installations, Maurizio Cattelan is one of the most popular and controversial artists in the world. His provocative works challenge the establishment and continually poke fun at long-standing institutions in the art scene.
Curated by Adam Lindemann with Sotheby’s S|2 Gallery, Cosa Nostra was a selling-exhibition in celebration of the art world’s favorite provocateur. To honor his subversive tradition, the gallery was transformed into a fun house, with walls clad in mirror to infinitely reflect each sculpture. The catalogue was designed as a children’s sticker book, requiring readers to search each page to find the right ‘match’ for pricing details and provenance.
