Monochrome
Monochrome featured both traditional and modern Chinese works united in their shared aesthetic of clean lines and subtle variations in color. The exhibition focused on the purity of color and silhouette and represented works produced in various media, spanning China’s dynastic history to the present day.
The exhibition was staged during Asia Week, which brings New York’s top galleries and cultural institutions together for a week-long showcase of artworks and events. Designed to attract new buyers, the exhibition presented works that were accessibly priced and aesthetically flexible to live in a range of interior types.
